Intermediate ACSL

Intermediate Division is open to students with some prior programming knowledge. Students from grae 9 and up are allowed to compete in this division. Students learn Computer Science topics and programming Java.

  • We accept students into Java-Intermediate Division only those who have at least one year of prior programming experience in Java or prior ACSL/All Star experience in Java.

    Course Prerequisites:
  • Students who have exposure to Java programming should only register.
  • The student must have good understanding of Arithmetic operations, Algebraic expressions
    Data types and logical approach of problem solving.
    Course Objectives:
    • Learn all the concepts required for ACSL competition.
    • Be comfortable in solving problems using computer Language concepts.
    • Write solution to programs using Java language

    • Introduction to Java, statement Syntax

    • Math operators, assignment operators
    • Branches and Loops(If/else, For,while)
    • String Manipulation
